President Igor Dodon believes that the coronavirus pandemic is a test for Moldovans to "prove themselves to be a nation." So he stated at the Tuesday briefing after a meeting of the High Security Council (CSS), infotag.md reported. "The following days and weeks, we all must pass the test as a nation. According to the country's leadership, we are ready to withstand the coronavirus pandemic, its peak is expected within next days and weeks. But a lot depends on each of you. I am quite sure that we can pass this test, we can do it, " Dodon stated. The President called for "strict compliance with all imposed restrictions during the state of emergency." “Many people ask about concessions. Obviously, there will not be any concessions until April 28, and in the future it all depends on the situation development. In the coming period, we expect an increase in the number of infected people, we must follow all the measures taken to prevent the infection spread. The more stringent we observe - the greater the likelihood that this period will not last for too long. If we allow exemptions, the situation will deteriorate, the period of forced quarantine will last and the losses will be disproportionately greater, " the president outlined. He individually thanked the doctors, calling them "heroes of the day" who are "worthy of our honor and respect." In Moldova, 965 cases of infection with the new type of coronavirus were registered, 21 people died, 40 - completely cured.
