Earlier Trump had a conversation with Putin and the Saudi king Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. On Friday, April 10, US President Donald Trump phoned his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to discuss a number of issues, including the oil crisis and the coronavirus pandemic, the Kremlin’s press service said. “An exchange of views was held on the situation on the global oil market, including an agreement being worked out under OPEC+ to reduce production volumes in order to stabilize world oil prices. Donald Trump informed about his contacts with the leaders of several oil-producing countries,” the statement said. Issues related to the coronavirus pandemic were also discussed. “Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump have assessed infection containment measures taken in Russia and the United States,” the Kremlin said. Some relevant aspects of bilateral relations, including space cooperation, were also touched upon. Earlier today, Trump stated that he had a good conversation with Putin and the king of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdel Aziz Al Saud. The conversation took place against the backdrop of OPEC+ talks on reducing oil production.
