In March, exports from China declined again. However, export figures last month were almost three times higher than in January-February. The volume of exports from China due to the collapse of the economy caused by the coronavirus in March fell again. In March, the minus amounted to 6.6 percent of the annual basis, as on Tuesday, April 14 informed the statistics agency in Beijing. At the same time, the volume of exports from China in March decreased significantly less than in January-February when exports collapsed by 17.2 percent. The figures for January-February are calculated together due to the Chinese New Year. The statistics show that in March, Chinese imports also stabilized to a large extent. After a minus of 4 percent in the first two months of this year, in March, the volume of imports in China decreased by only 0.9 percent. In general, China exported $ 185.15 billion worth of goods in March, and imported $ 165.25 billion worth of goods. Due to the tough measures taken in China after the coronavirus outbreak the country's economy almost stopped at the end of January. The consequences of these measures were especially felt in February. In recent weeks, factories in China are gradually resuming operation.
