The decision on whether to allow certain business areas to work from next week will be made next Friday or Saturday. This was announced on April 20 at a briefing by Prime Minister Ion Chicu. According to him, the decision will depend on whether there will be a new outbreak of patients with coronavirus after Easter. He noted that on Friday, April 17 and Monday, April 20, authorities registered an increased flow of people and cars from cities to villages and vice versa. “Some citizens ignored our calls to [stay at home] and moved from cities to villages and back. It is difficult to say what the effect of these movements will be. I want to believe that there will be no outbreaks of new cases on Friday or Saturday,” Chicu explained. Note, earlier, the authorities said that they plan to resume business. In particular, Ion Chicu said that public catering can be launched if, until April 27, the number of infected people is less than 3 thousand people. Recall that from mid-March, the authorities banned the operation of most of the retail and services, with the exception of grocery stores, household chemical stores, gas stations, agricultural stores and car services.
