The stumbling block in obtaining a Russian loan of 200 million euros in the Agreement was Article 7.2. The opposition referred specifically to this article when it was filing a protest in the Constitutional Court. Maia Sandu, chairman of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), expressed her opinion in the Glavnoie program with Lilia Buracovscaia on TVC-21, enews.md reports. "We are not against the Russian loan. We are against article 7.2 in the Loan Agreement, because it says: in addition to the debt that is created from this loan, our state must return some private debts. Where did this article come from?" Sandu noted. "But you still asked the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office to investigate who conducted the negotiations and in what way, and accused these people of almost betraying the motherland,” the program host said. “If you need money, you go to the bank and sign a contract. And it says that you will have to return it and another loan from your neighbors. Will you sign it?” the PAS leader marked. Sandu wonders how the Minister of Finance can agree to sign such a loan. “Did Russia itself add this item?” Buracovscaia asked. "I have no right to ask Russia, it is not their fault. It is the fault of the people who lead our country and are responsible for its interests," Sandu said. The politician is sure this loan can be obtained if Article 7.2 is removed.
