PAS will not support the resignation of the Chicu government because there is no certainty that the majority will support another truly pro-European government. This was stated by PAS deputy Sergiu Litvinenco in the program "Politics" on TV8, unimedia.info writes. “We (the PAS) and the DA Platform had discussions in Parliament yesterday. We have the following position: this government is a disaster for the Republic of Moldova, look, 247 Covid-19 cases. While other countries almost have no growth in new cases, we have so many of them, even more than during the state of emergency. This government is a disaster in terms of crisis management, and I am not even talking about economy. I told my DA Platform colleagues, considering that we face a pandemic, a crisis, it would be irresponsible on our part to support a vote of no confidence and overthrow the government, given that we have no confidence that the majority will support a good, truly pro-European government,” Litvinenco said. The MP noted that in current conditions PAS has a mathematical problem, “To create a government, you need at least 51 mandates. Given that PDM and PSRM have a total of 52 mandates, we can’t move on.” The MP also said that PAS did not have discussions with Pro Moldova leader Andrian Candu.
