The Central Election Commission published a list of parties and other socio-political organizations registered by the Public Services Agency eligible to participate in the next local elections on September 6, 2020.

The context is the forthcoming elections of the mayor of the Tirnova commune, Donduseni district and the Nucareni village, Telenesti district, deschide.md reports.

47 parties may participate in the elections, and the recently created Pro Moldova does not have the right to nominate its candidate.

The CEC mentions that in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Code, parties and other socio-political organizations registered in accordance with the established procedure before the election date have the right to nominate candidates for elections.

As a result, 47 political parties can nominate candidates for the post of mayor in two communities of Donduseni and Telenesti districts.

Recall, last week Pro Moldova was registered with the Public Services Agency as a political party. Currently, 48 parties are registered in the Republic of Moldova.
