The European Union allocates 11.5 million euros to Ukraine for public governance reform. This was reported by the press office of the EU Delegation to Ukraine on Tuesday, July 7. “The EU supports the public administration reform in Ukraine amid the ongoing COVID-19 crisis with another direct payment of over 11.5 million euros,” the statement reads. The Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Ambassador Matti Maasikas, said that now more than ever it is important to ensure respect for the core principles of public governance, accountability and transparency in order to strengthen the trust of citizens and business in state institutions. Recall that earlier, the European Commission allocated 500 million euros to Ukraine. Half a billion euros will be transferred to the state budget for expenses, including to overcome the COVID-19 aftermath. It was also reported that the WB approved the allocation of $ 350 million for Ukraine. The money will be used to support the state budget in difficult times, the World Bank explained.
