At a press briefing, Prime Minister Ion Chicu announced that today, at 10:00, the Permanent Bureau will decide whether to convene a parliamentary meeting to discuss a vote of no confidence in the government under his leadership. Also, the head of the executive branch warned of possible risks in the event of the government’s resignation, zdg.md reports. “If the government falls, then we will have the status of an interim government, which limits the existing powers. For example, we will not be able to sign an agreement on macro-financial assistance in the amount of 100 million euros with the EU on Wednesday, and it will also be impossible to sign a memorandum with the IMF. We are negotiating with them, and if the government falls, then we will not be able to make further decisions,” Chiku explained.
