A new opposition body in Belarus was created to achieve the following goals: begin negotiations and stability in the country at the time of the transfer of power to democratic forces. People's Anti-Crisis Administration (PAA) has been established in Belarus. This announced on Wednesday, October 28, a member of the Coordination Council of the Belarusian Opposition Presidium, Pavel Latushko, together with representatives of democratic political forces. "While the Coordinating Council was created to conduct negotiations, the PAA will be a body to ensure achieving following goals: start of negotiations and stability in the country at the time of the transition of power to democratic forces," the message in the Latushko Telegram channel says. The People's Anti-Crisis Administration "will also solve problems the country is facing from the moment the ex-president leaves until new elections and transfer of power to the new government," the statement informed. PAA will be led by Latushko. He informed that the anti-crisis management team to help the headquarters of ex-presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya and the Coordinating Council "comes up with specific proposals: how to eliminate the causes of crisis; how to achieve the start of negotiations; how to correct the situation in the economy; how to restore the rule of law and others." The composition of the people's anti-crisis management is being formed. Tikhanovskaya thanked Belarusians for participating in the strike. In turn, ex-presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya positively assessed the national strike that took place on October 26, despite the small number of its participants. Although the opposition has called on "the whole country" to join the protests against incumbent President Lukashenko, it is still grateful to every Belarusian who took part in the strike on Monday, Tihanovskaya said Wednesday during a video press conference with Norwegian Foreign Minister Ine Eriksen Søreide. Tikhanovskaya called the protesters being "heroes". According to her, " Belarusian people have shown they are ready to fight against the dictatorship."
