Donald Trump called the preliminary results of the US elections “phenomenal results” and declared his victory.
Republican candidate Donald Trump has announced his victory in the presidential election, although ballots are still being counted. He announced this at the White House briefing on Wednesday, November 4.
In his remarks, Trump thanked the Americans for their support and said that a “group of people” were trying to deprive Americans of the right to express their will in elections. Trump defined the election results as phenomenal and declared victory by listing the states in which he prevailed.
“Obviously we have won in Georgia ... We have clearly won in North Carolina ... Most importantly, we win in Pennsylvania by a tremendous margin ... We win in Michigan and we win in Wisconsin,” he announced, despite the fact that the vote count is yet to be completed.
Trump said he was ready to declare victory, but the slowdown in tallies hindered.
Democrats have won 180 seats in the House of Representatives, Republicans 170.
“To be honest, we have won this election,” Trump summed up.
