MPs from the Party of Socialists will support the initiative to postpone the application of a single VAT rate of 12% for agricultural products for six months. As well for preserving taxation of postal parcels with goods purchased online abroad, costing from 200 euros,  ipn.md reported. The initial draft fiscal policy called for a reduction in the tax ceiling to € 100. PSRM deputies discussed this at a meeting with the participation of the incumbent President Igor Dodon. In a press release, the PSRM notes that the PSRM deputies welcomed the government's positive opinion on the amendment proposed at the initiative of Igor Dodon, according to which more than 690 thousand pensioners and other recipients of social benefits will receive 1,000 lei each by Easter. This one-time benefit, which in general costs the state budget almost 700 million lei, will be received by pensioners and recipients of other social benefits with a monthly income of less than 4 thousand lei. Among the priorities of the PSRM in the next agenda of the parliament are bills providing for the reduction of the retirement age to 57 years for women and 62 years for men. If women have at least 5 children, they will be eligible to retire at the age of 54. The socialists will also support a project prohibiting employers from firing people who have reached retirement age. The PSRM faction will insist on voting in two readings on a bill aimed at eliminating additional fiscal pressure on the population and economy of the Republic of Moldova as a result of the embezzlement of a billion. Socialist deputies will also insist on the approval of the draft resolution that Europe Day in Moldova should be celebrated on May 8, and only Victory Day would be celebrated on May 9, the PSRM statement says.
