Another new mutation was first discovered in South Africa, and later it spread to other countries.
So, on January 10, the Japanese authorities announced discovering a mutation that does not coincide with either the "British" or "South African" ones. It was identified in four people who flew in from Brazil and were immediately quarantined. There is no evidence that this virus strain is more contagious than the others do, according to the Japanese health department.
