The decree of President Maia Sandu nominating Igor Grosu for Prime Minister was recognized constitutional. This decision was made today, March 22, by the Constitutional Court (CC), after examining the petition of several socialist deputies, zdg.md reports. This decision is final and not subject to appeal. It comes into force on the day of its adoption and is published in Monitorul Oficial. On Tuesday, March 17, President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu signed a decree nominating Igor Grosu as a candidate for prime minister. The decision was made after Mariana Durlesteanu, who was nominated by the socialists for the post of prime minister, announced that she was withdrawing her candidacy.
