The candidate for the post of prime minister and PAS deputy Igor Grosu said that the party he represents supports the idea of organizing possible early elections this summer.
“I don’t want to name a specific date. We chose summer based on estimates from experts who say there will be fewer COVID-19 cases in summer. Some of our colleagues choose late autumn, others - 2023. If it is not possible to appoint a government, the President will appeal to the Constitutional Court, and the Constitutional Court will decide whether the legal conditions for the dissolution of parliament have been met. Then there will be a round of parliamentary consultations. I think that given the current situation it is unlikely that many of our citizens will travel during their summer vacations,” Igor Grosu said on the air of the program on ProTV,

The candidate for prime minister said the PAS wants elections to be organized in the summer for several reasons:
“We do not choose autumn, due to some conditions for external financing. We need to adhere to the schedule, decisions are made in the IMF and the EU, and during that period our government should be functioning,” Igor Grosu said.
