Ambassador summoned for consultations following Joe Biden's interview
Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov will not return to Washington anytime soon, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.
“The timing will be determined depending on what steps will the United States take. We expect them to still be able demonstrate a desire for at least a relative normalization of our relations, "RIA Novosti quoted Ryabkov.
Anatoly Antonov has been in Moscow since March 21.
The ambassador was summoned for consultations after the sensational interview with Joe Biden, in which the American president said that the Russian authorities must "pay the price" for attempts to interfere in elections.
In addition, the head of the White House answered affirmatively when asked whether he considers Vladimir Putin to be a "killer."
