Moldova Ramps Up Imports of Weapons and Military Equipment

Weapons and military equipment worth almost $ 6 million were imported to Moldova over the last two years. Economic expert Dumitru Barbalat stated this, mybusiness.md reports. "The statistics in Moldova don't say about export of arms to Moldova, while the statistics authorities of other countries publish this information," Barbalat wrote. In 2020, weapons and armaments were supplied in the total amount of $ 3,136,593, including from  EU-27 countries - $ 3,127,185; USA (re-export) - $ 6,738, Turkey - $ 2,670.
