The Socialist Party (PSRM) will come forward with a draft parliamentary decree on the usurpation of power by the Constitutional Court (CC) "in favor of the political interests of the President" Maia Sandu. Three judges are implied - Domnica Manole, Liuba Șova, Nicolae Roșca. In this regard, the PSRM will demand their resignation. This decision was made by the PSRM faction on April 16, according to the head of the PSRM Igor Dodon. As Dodon noted, at the meeting, the PSRM faction decided to come up with an official position on the CC decision, adopted on April 15, in which the Constitutional Court recognized the existence of circumstances for the dissolution of parliament. According to the socialists, by adopting this decision, the Constitutional Court "has discredited the rule of law in the country, followed the path of usurpation of power in favor of President Maia Sandu in Plahotniuc's manner of 2019". "We believe that the parliament should give an appropriate assessment to the judges of the Constitutional Court. PSRM will put forward a draft resolution of the Parliament, which states the fact of usurping the Constitutional Court by three members of the court (Manole, Șova, Roșca) in favor of the president's political interests and violating the oath they took before this parliament, and demand their resignation," Dodon wrote. At the same time, he noted that the PSRM is not afraid of early parliamentary elections, but believes "they cannot be held during the pandemic." "We will seek early elections only after ensuring the delivery to the country of at least 1-1.5 million doses of coronavirus vaccines and immunization of at least 500-600 thousand of our citizens, mainly those who are on the frontline of the fight against the pandemic and at risk groups." The day before, on the air of the Moldova-1 public TV channel, Dodon said that the parliament "must assess" the decision of the Constitutional Court. "And they will do it. The Socialists are initiating this procedure. As it was in 2019. What will happen if this decision of the Constitutional Court is not recognized by 60 or 65 deputies? We will see," Dodon said. When the program host clarified whether this implies the "2019 scenario", the Socialist leader replied that "everything is possible." He added that the elections will anyway take place, but for this, President Maia Sandu must negotiate with the ruling parties. At the same time, elections, in his opinion, are impossible in the near future. Recall, on April 15 the Constitutional Court considered the request of President Maia Sandu, in which she asked the court to establish the circumstances that allow the parliament to be dissolved. The court ruled that parliament really must be dissolved. The court ruled that the reason for the dissolution of parliament was the impossibility of forming a government.
