"We need to appoint a plenipotentiary government as soon as possible. This year is almost lost in terms of unblocking external ties."
This was
stated by the vice-chairman of the parliament and the DA Platform deputy Alexandru Slusari on the air of the Punctul pe Azi program on TVR Moldova TV channel.
Slusari noted that he does not believe in the miracle that the government will be appointed 10 days after the parliamentary elections.
“I don’t think we will be able to quickly negotiate with the IMF, and the conditions will be different. The IMF program we've lost was pretty good. However, the sooner we have a plenipotentiary government, from an economic and social point of view, the better it will be for Moldova,” the politician said.
He stressed that the lack of money had blocked the agriculture subsidizing process and that there may be problems with the strongly needed expenditures.
“I have information that from June 1, the Ministry of Finance may decide to switch to manual mode of financial management, to pay strongly needed salaries and pensions, and the rest will remain unfunded,” Alexandru Slusari said.
