There are several clans in the Republic of Moldova that try to preserve their spheres of influence through the judicial system and even expand them. This
stated the head of state, Maia Sandu.
"Nothing new, we all know these names. There is a group of Plato, a group of Plahotniuc, Shor, there is a group that works for Dodon, these are Andronache, Nichiforciuc and their entourage. These are the main groups," President Maia Sandu said in the program Dialogues with Vlad Culminschi on Jurnal TV.
When asked what the interests of these groups are, President Maia Sandu replied: “We see what happens in the insurance industry when they try to overturn the decision of the regulator, overturn the decision in court, and there are judges who do it easily. The banking system, which has not yet fully recovered from fraud, is being attacked again, including through the courts. The same is happening in other state institutions, state funds,” Maia Sandu said.
