The deputy of the "Shor" party Marina Tauber is sure that the representatives of the "Shor" faction have the right to take the vice-speaker post, despite the fact that the party has only six mandates. Tauber told this on July 27 on the air of Politica on TV8. Tauber noted that they are currently negotiating with the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) on the distribution of seats in parliament.
As Tauber noted, according to European practice and legislation, the "Shor" faction has the right to many leading positions in parliament.
“The "Shor" Party faction should have the right to one vice-speaker, one commission, one vice-chairperson of the commission, one secretary of the commission, one representative in PACE with the right to vote, one representative of the leadership of one of the international commissions and, naturally, a member of the Permanent Bureau. These are our rights that we claim. We are determined that the decision will be made in a European way,” Tauber said.
She said that PAS invited representatives of the opposition for a dialogue. Negotiations with PAS are still going and details will be announced later.
However, Tauber noted that representatives of the "Shor" party could lead the parliamentary commission on public administration and regional development, environment and climate change.
“I cannot say that we are not ready to lead an economic or legal commission. But we understand very well that these commissions will be led by a parliamentary majority,” Tauber said.
Recall, on July 27, the deputy of PAS Sergei Litvinenko said that the opposition will head 3 of the 11 parliamentary commissions. In addition, according to Litvinenko, two PM of the PAS and one deputy of the Communists and Socialists Bloc will become vice-speakers of parliament. Litvinenko did not excluded, but did not confirm either that one of the parliamentary committees can lead representative of the "Shor".
