On August 12, the Moldovan government made a decision to restructure the ministries. Now the Cabinet will have 13 ministries, instead of nine, as it was in recent years.
“Today we will start ministries reorganization. This division will allow us to optimize our work in key areas for the development of our country,” Prime Minister Natalya Gavrilita said.
Thus, now the government will consist of 13 ministries, instead of the nine that were before. These are the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, headed by Andrei Spanu, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (Nicu Popescu), the Ministry of Justice (Sergiu Litvinenko), the Ministry of Finance (Dumitru Budianschi), the Ministry of Economy (Sergiu Gaibu), the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (Viorel Gherciu), Ministry of Defense (Anatolie Nosatai), Ministry of Internal Affairs (Ana Revenko), Ministry of Health (Ala Nemerenco), Ministry of Education and Research (Anatolie Topala), Ministry of Culture (Sergiu Prodan), Ministry of the Environment (Iuliana Cantaragiu), Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (Marcel Spatari).
