The Parliament critically and unsatisfactorily assesses the activities of the Prosecutor General's Office and the National Anti-Corruption Center with regard to the return of funds stolen from the banking system. In this regard, the deputies took a number of measures to streamline the process of returning the stolen money, deschide.md reports. “The Parliament notes the lack of tangible action and progress in the return of funds stolen from the banking system, and considers that ineffective actions of the leaders of the responsible authorities unreasonably delay the adoption of appropriate measures to achieve the goal. The Parliament considers the activities of the General Prosecutor's Office and the National Anti-Corruption Center to be unsatisfactory in terms of the return of funds stolen from the banking system,” Olesea Stamate, Chairperson of the Commission on Legal Affairs, Appointments and Immunity, said. In this regard, the deputies demanded from the Prosecutor General's Office: - to look into the reasons for the stagnation in the procedures for investigating the robbery of the banking system committed by the responsible authorities; - to develop and approve within 30 days an effective instrument to collect funds stolen from the banking system, as well as a new action plan for its implementation. Also, the deputies appealed to the Supreme Council of Magistrates with a request to check the activities and take all necessary measures for the courts to administer justice in cases related to the robbery of the banking system.
