Russia is taking measures against the threat creeping towards its borders, the Kremlin says.
Russia believes that NATO is gradually bringing Ukraine to heel, crossing the “red lines”. This was stated by the Russian President’ press secretary Dmitry Peskov in an interview with Izvestia.
“Russia does not threaten anyone. Russia is taking measures against the creeping threat that is spreading towards its borders. We see how NATO is gradually beginning to take over Ukraine. This is a red line for Russia,” he said.
Also, the Kremlin once again stated that they are conducting military maneuvers on their own territory.
“In any case, everything Russia does is done within the territory of the Russian Federation. And it’s not our soldiers who came to Latin America, it’s American soldiers who come here, that’s a big difference,” Peskov said.
Recall that on the eve of the talks between the Presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden, the main topic of which was Ukraine.
