On Monday, January 31, The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) published a new maximum cost of gasoline and diesel fuel starting tomorrow.
According to ANRE, the maximum cost of 95 gasoline will be 23 lei 09 bans per liter, and diesel fuel - 20 lei 04 bans.
ANRE data show that gasoline price has risen by about 2.3 lei (about 11%) over the month, of which 50 bans are due to an increase in excise taxes, and the rest is a consequence of oil prices on international stock markets.
Concerning diesel fuel, the price increase was more significant: by about 2.5 lei, or more than 14%, of which only 30 bans are associated with an increase in excise duty.
ANRE explains the record fuel prices with an increase in the cost of Brent crude oil. The increase is observed in most countries of the region, including Romania, which is our country’s main fuel supplier.
