The White House is considering the possibility of a visit by a high-ranking US representative to Ukraine to demonstrate solidarity with Zelensky
On Tuesday, US President Joe Biden, answering a question from journalists whether he was going to visit Kiev, said that he did not know yet.
“The answer is: I don’t know,” Biden said at an event in New Hampshire.
On Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in an interview with CNN, invited Biden to come to Ukraine.
The White House said that, due to security concerns, Biden is not likely to go, but they are considering the possibility of a visit by a high-ranking US representative to Ukraine to show solidarity.
Sources familiar with the situation name Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Antony Blinken as possible candidates to make this trip.
