Azerbaijani companies are invited to participate in a new tender for the construction of large wind farms with a capacity of 170 MW, including the integration of energy storage systems. The invitation was announced by Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu at a bilateral meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Parviz Shahbazov, reports ipn.md. The discussions took place during a meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council held in Baku. The ministers discussed issues related to strengthening bilateral cooperation in the natural gas sector, regional demand dynamics, and opportunities for cooperation in the context of the ongoing liberalization of the Moldovan gas market. Dorin Junghietu emphasized the importance of a pragmatic policy of supporting the development of new projects in the gas sector in parallel with the promotion of energy transition. According to the Ministry of Energy, in the context of the restructuring of European gas markets, the parties emphasized the key role of scalable infrastructure, regulatory coordination and regional partnerships in ensuring long-term security of supply.
