The European Union must play an important role in achieving the Moldovan goal of reintegration, which should be harmonized with the process of the country’s European integration.
This opinion was expressed by Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian during a meeting with a delegation from the Polish Sejm, infotag.md reports.
According to the press service of the Bureau of Reintegration, the sides discussed topics related to the regional situation, the process of the Transdniestrian settlement, the energy crisis.
The Deputy Prime Minister informed about the problems faced by the population on both banks of the Dniester, especially in terms of respect for fundamental human rights, energy, the difficult situation caused by the war in Ukraine and its destructive consequences.
The representatives of the Sejm stressed that both Poland and other EU member states will continue to support Moldova on the path of European integration, reiterating “firm support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the republic within its internationally recognized borders”.
