The President assured that there is no political instability in Chisinau and the new government will be approved on Thursday, February 16. Maia Sandu stressed that the Recean Government “will continue the reforms, especially those required by European institutions, so that Moldova progresses on the path of European integration,” voceabasarabiei.md reported. “There is no political instability in Chisinau. On Thursday, a new government will be formed and continuity will be ensured. This government intends to continue reforms, especially those needed by European institutions in order for Moldova to move forward on the path of European integration. The new Government will pay special attention to the citizens’ security and the state’s safety. At the same time, this cabinet will focus on economic development and growth. We are very much affected by Russia’s war against Ukraine, including economically we are in a difficult situation. So, we need to make more efforts in this respect, but there is no political crisis in Chisinau,” Maia Sandu said. It is to be noted that on 16 February, a plenary session of parliament will be held, during which prime ministerial candidate Dorin Recean will present the activity program and composition of the future cabinet.
