According to a survey conducted by IMAS, 69% of respondents said that instead of arranging the European Moldova National Assembly, the authorities should deal with other issues. At the same time, 25% of respondents said that the May 21 rally was very important. In addition, 33% of people who expressed their opinion about the president’s initiative said that this is the right thing to do and we must show the world that we want a future in the European Union, and 31% of respondents said that this is a political PR action of the ruling party and Maia Sandu, designed to distract people from the lack of results within the country.
According to the survey, 62% of respondents stated that the ruling party (PAS), not state institutions, should cover participation and expenses for the May 21 rally, while 20% of people believe that authorities and officials were to participate in arranging the rally announced by Maia Sandu for May 21. According to IMAS, the survey covered only the Republic of Moldova and does not include information about the preferences of diaspora voters. The poll error is 3%. At the same time, 30% of respondents said that this event was useless.
