According to Maia Sandu, Moscow is trying to destabilize Moldova, but our country can be admitted to the EU in the next seven years, despite Russian troops in the Transnistrian region. Maia Sandu confirmed her intention to run for another term for the presidency of Moldova. “She said she is preparing for re-elections next year in order to maintain pro-European sentiment, to avoid falling support for leaving Moscow”s orbit,” foreign journalists say. Recall that on December 24, 2020, Maia Sandu was sworn in as President of Moldova after winning the second round of the presidential elections on November 15, 2020. Previously, Maia Sandu served as Prime Minister of the country from June to November 2020. The next presidential elections in Moldova are expected to take place in 2024.
