Parlicov: Gazprom Will Not Supply the Right Bank with Gas in this Season

The Energy Ministry already started forming gas reserves for the cold season in order to meet the citizens’ needs. According to Minister Victor Parlicov, Gazprom will not supply the right bank of the Nistru River with gas during this heating season. “We consider the scenario that we will have no gas for the right bank from Gazprom. Thus, we fully cover our gas consumption in wintertime with the gas being purchased today by Energocom. As for today, we are purchasing gas at good prices. Yesterday Energocom issued a press release in which it announced the purchase of 300 million cubic metres of gas. We have the resources; we have the money to make enough reserves that would be enough until the end of the heating period. If prices remain in the same range, around 30 euros per megawatt, we will consider it a good price, and in winter it will definitely be higher,” Energy Minister Victor Parlicov said.
