Units of the Romanian Defense Ministry monitored the situation resulting from Russian drone attacks on infrastructure near Ukrainian ports on the Danube. “The means of attack used by Russian Federation have never posed direct military threats to Romania’s national territory or territorial waters”, the Romanian defense ministry stated. Romania’s Ministry of National Defense said it has taken increased vigilance actions on land, at sea and in the country’s airspace and is contributing to strengthening defense and deterrence on the eastern flank in line with national and allied plans. “The Ministry of National Defense restates that these attacks by the Russian Federation on civilian objects and infrastructure in Ukraine are unjustified and deeply contrary to the norms of international humanitarian law”, the Department said. Let us remind, earlier the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that some Russian drones exploded on the territory of Romania.
