Former Moldovan President Igor Dodon sharply criticized the actions of the government and President Maia Sandu, saying there was a discrepancy between election promises and actual assistance to citizens during the winter period. “During the election campaign, Maia Sandu and PAS lavished promises on people. But what do we see now? During the cold season, citizens will receive only 300 to 800 lei of aid from the state, and not all of them are ‘lucky’. But no money is spared for ministers - immediately after the elections, 30 million lei were allocated for... bonuses,” Dodon said, actualitati.md reports. He also emphasized that promises of foreign support turned out to be lies. “Maia’s tales that ‘foreign countries will help us’ are lies. There is no money and it will only get more difficult from now on. The Moldovan people will continue to be poor,” the politician added. Dodon proposes snap elections, the resignation of the government and the formation of a new government as a way out of the situation.
