Since 1 to 20 January, Energocom purchased 280,000 MWh of electricity at a weighted average price of around €126.75/MWh.
The total quantity and value include electricity purchased on the domestic market, as a central supplier and under bilateral contracts concluded in accordance with the EC Regulation of 27 December 2024. The figures also include imports, based on bilateral contracts and purchases on the Romanian exchange OPCOM, newtv.md reported.
According to Energocom, about 30% of the electricity demand was generated by CHPs in Chisinau and Balti, with imported energy accounting for 60%. Wind and photovoltaic parks and biogas plants generated just over 10%.
The electricity sales price approved by the National Energy Regulatory Agency is around €145/MWh.
