The Central Election Commission notifies the Ministry of Justice of the need to take measures to dissolve 4 political parties.
According to the CEC press release, they are the Party of Working People, Moldova United, the Conservative Party and the Party of Regions, reports deschide.md.
Earlier, by court order, the activities of the respective formations were restricted due to failure to submit financial management reports for the first half of 2024 as well as for 2023.
“According to the legislation, if during the period of restriction of a political party’s activity the actions for which the party’s activity was restricted are repeatedly committed, or similar violations are committed within the first year from the date of the last restriction of the party’s activity, the Ministry of Justice will apply to the court with a petition to liquidate the respective party,” the CEC representatives specified.
At the same time, the Commission draws attention to the fact that the fate of the above-mentioned parties may be repeated by two more parties if they fail to submit financial management reports. These are the Party of Socialists of Moldova (Partidul Socialist) and the Alternative and Force of Alternative and Salvation of Moldova.
