Home / World / Kremlin: Russia and US Agree on Putin-Trump Meeting in the Coming Days
This was stated by Russian President’s assistant Yuri Ushakov. The following week is set as a target date for the meeting. However, the Kremlin has yet to say how many days it will take to prepare for the talks.
“Now, together with our American colleagues, we are starting to work on the specifics,” said Ushakov, as quoted by meduza.io.
The initiative to hold talks between Putin and Trump came from Russia, sources from American media reported. This issue was discussed during the meeting between Vladimir Putin and U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, which took place in Moscow on August 6.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump announced his intention to hold talks “very soon” with the presidents of Russia and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky.
