President Maia Sandu congratulated the National Army on the 34th anniversary of its founding. “I told the military that the National Army is an institution of courage and discipline, a symbol of loyalty to the Republic of Moldova. I emphasized that peace does not preserve itself, it must be defended day after day with the help of a capable and modern army. To preserve peace, any aggressor must know that the Republic of Moldova is not weak. That is why we are investing in new equipment and supplies, as well as in better service and living conditions, social protection and decent compensation for risk. The country cares for those who care for the country,” said the head of state, according to protv.md. In addition, Maia Sandu thanked the military, veterans, reservists and their families, and honored the memory of those who died in the line of duty. “For their sake and for future generations, we have a sacred duty to preserve peace and freedom”.
