The State Tax Service of Moldova has banned a number of companies and public organizations linked to fugitive oligarch Ilan Sor from operating, enforcing a decision by the Security and Intelligence Service to impose sanctions.
The order was signed by Chief State Tax Inspector Olga Golban and published in Monitorul Oficial on 24 September, according to tv8.md.
The companies Dufremol, Adorland, Aerofood, Avantage, DFI and DFM were subject to sanctions. Among public organizations, restrictive measures affected: Pentru Orhei, Proiecte sociale pentru Moldova, Magazine Sociale, as well as the Miron Șor Foundation.
The decision is based on an order by the Director of the Security and Intelligence Service to include these entities in the list of legal entities controlled by Ilan Sor and subject to interdepartmental restrictions.
Companies and organizations are prohibited from conducting financial transactions, issuing and repaying loans, making cash payments, and disposing of movable and immovable property.
