The US State Department requires its diplomatic missions around the world to review assistance programs. The rules will take effect on February 26 and are aimed at combating what the Trump administration understands as “radical ideology”. The US Department of State has ordered US diplomatic missions around the world to review aid programs for compliance with new rules prohibiting the financing of groups dealing with issues of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), family planning and “gender ideology”. This was reported on Thursday by the Reuters news agency, citing a telegram from the US foreign department, dw.com reports. The new rules will come into force on February 26. We are talking about financing in the amount of approximately 30 billion dollars (25 billion euros), which also applies to organizations based in the United States. At the same time, foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are prohibited from using funds from non-American donors for purposes that the Donald Trump administration considers “radical ideology”.
