Home / Politics / Kulminski: US to Allocate $36.5 Million to Moldova to Strengthen Security
The Republic of Moldova will receive $36.5 million from the United States to strengthen national security. This was announced by Vlad Kulminski, the Republic of Moldova’s ambassador to Washington.
According to the diplomat, Moldova is the only country in Eastern Europe and Eurasia directly mentioned in the National Security and State Department Appropriations Act, passed by the US Congress and signed by President Donald Trump. Vlad Kulminski stressed that this decision reflects the high level of trust between Chisinau and Washington, as well as the maturity of bilateral cooperation in the field of security, reports rupor.md.
“We have strong partnership with the United States. The White House and Congress have demonstrated a clear commitment to strengthening our capabilities and preventing risks in a complex regional environment. For Moldova, this support confirms something very important: investments in peace, stability and defense capabilities are recognized and supported by our strategic partners. We continue to move in this direction, responsibly and with particular attention to the safety of our citizens,” the ambassador noted.
These funds will be used to ensure energy security, cybersecurity, resilience and other areas related to national security.
