Trump gave advice to Zelensky about Russia

The US President hopes that Zelensky and Putin get together and can solve your problem in the Donbas. During a bilateral meeting with Zelensky in New York US President Donald Trump noted the progress in relations between Russia and Ukraine and advised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to continue in the same way. “I see that over a short period of time you are a president, you have already made significant progress in relations with Russia. Keep up the good work,” Trump said. In his opinion, Russian President Vladimir Putin seeks to resolve the conflict in the Donbas. “I truly believe that President Putin would like to do something. I truly hope that you and President Putin get together solve your problem. That would be an incredible achievement,” said the head of the U.S. administration. In turn, Volodymyr Zelensky believes that only the EU and the U.S. joint efforts can help resolve the situation in the Donbas. “We understand that only EU and the U.S. joint efforts can help stop the war in the Donbas,” he said and added that Ukraine needed not just “assistance, but support”.
