Russia is ready to continue gas transit through Ukraine while maintaining the conditions of economic and commercial feasibility for Gazprom, said presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, TASS reports.
“From the very beginning, President Vladimir Putin said that even in the conditions of diversification of our energy supply routes to European consumers, the Russian side was ready to continue gas transit through Ukraine, but this is possible while maintaining the conditions of economic and commercial feasibility for Gazprom. Negotiations are ongoing,” he said.
Peskov added that a number of positions and decisions of the Stockholm arbitration “remain unacceptable to the Russian side.”
