WHO: The Pandemic Is Accelerating

A pandemic is spreading around the world at an increasing rate. As of Monday evening, March 23, there are 373 positive cases around the world. More than 20 potential anti-COVID-19 drugs are under development. The effectiveness of some of them can probably be judged fairly confidently in April. At the same time, it is very difficult to find a cure for viral infection for many reasons: an example is the usual flu, which cannot be treated due to the lack of effective drugs. Even if a cure for coronavirus is found, it will take another months, it will not help everyone, and its side effects will be significant. In the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, humanity will have to rely on its own immunity and quarantine measures, as well as hope for success in the vaccine development.
