Home / News / Saakashvili: They Cared More about the Moldovan Government in Brussels, More than Mine
The Georgia’s ex-president, the former governor of the Odessa region, Mikheil Saakashvili said that officials in Brussels favored the Moldovan government.
According to him, he wonders why is he considered a supporter of the West or the EU, if being president of Georgia he "always bent his line". Saakashvili stated in the "Dialogue with Vlad Culminschi " program on Jurnal TV.
“We often developed plans contrary to the IMF and other international organizations. I had a constant conflict with them and still they don’t really like me. Most officials, not only in Russia but also in the West do not like me, because I am really clumsy and never dance to somebody’s pipe, " Saakashvili said.
The Moldovan government, according to him, took a different approach.
They always cared more about the Moldovan government in Brussels more than mine. Because the Moldovans came there and said: "We got here, Moldova is a poor country. We don’t know anything, please tell us how we should live." And European officials simply blossomed and said: “Let us, guys, tell you,” Saakashvili explained.
