The Democratic Party is ready for a dialogue with the right-wing parties in parliament, but does not see their political maturity,” democrat Alexandru Jizdan said.
He confirmed at a debate on Friday that PDM “does not want early parliamentary elections,”
infotag.md reports.
“As far as we see, other parliamentary parties do not want this. Because in a difficult pandemic period a political crisis will seriously worsen the situation. Based on this, we are ready to conduct discussions with all partners (in the parliament - "I."), we want our colleagues (from the right flank - "I.") to finally agree to a political dialogue," Jizdan said.
At the same time, he emphasized that PDM demands to be treated with respect.
“We have been waiting for this dialogue since 2019, when the Maia Sandu government was dismissed. But the PDM is already experiencing deja vu, when the leaders of the right-wing parties again try to find a scapegoat, while none of them started discussions with us. We have our own position, experienced people, and we believe that progress is possible only based on the stability," Jizdan said.
According to him, PDM "is ready to have a dialogue with colleagues from the ACUM block."
"We could be partners. But I don’t see political maturity. In June 2019 they wanted Plahotniuc to leave - they succeeded, now they want to remove Dodon. There is a feeling that in 2021they will choose a new goal to overthrow. We want to build, not ruin," the deputy said.
