Home / News / Babuc: Almost One Million Was Offered to Our Colleagues to Leave PDM
Monica Babuc, a member of the Democratic Party of Moldova faction, claims that several MPs were offered impressive sums on the weekend, June 6-7, to leave the PDM parliamentary faction.
The deputy refused to give names, specifying that this information should be given by the deputies who were in this situation, ipn.md reports.
“I know from my colleagues in the faction that last weekend envoys from other parliamentary factions came to them with generous proposals in return for their departure from the Democratic Party faction,” Monica Babuc said during the program “Natalia Morari’s Politics” on TV8.
The PDM faction MP did not name the sum proposed to the Democratic deputies, but we are talking about amounts reaching a million. “Our colleagues told us that they were offered amounts with a large number of zeros. I think about a million was offered to our colleagues.”
Regarding the last withdrawal from the PDM, Monica Babuc said that she last saw MP Angel Agache at a meeting of the faction, after which Democrat Eugeniu Nichiforciuc was tested positive for COVID-19.
On Tuesday, June 9, Democratic MP Angel Agache announced that he was leaving the faction of the Democratic Party of Moldova and joining the PRO Moldova parliamentary group. This is the 15th deputy who leaves the PDM. 13 deputies joined the Pro-Moldova group led by Andrian Candu, and the other two deputies joined the parliamentary faction of the Shor Party.
