Prime Minister Ion Chicu threatened to resign if parliament did not meet in plenary to discuss projects for which the government had taken responsibility. Yesterday, on the air of the program on N4 channel, he said that if the “blockade” in parliament continues, he will resign, cotidianul.md reports. “If everything continues in the same vein, we will see what we will do. I don’t think I can stay. I’ll see what happens on Friday, in the following days, if the government can’t take responsibility, I don’t exclude the resignation,” Chicu said. Премьер-министр впервые заявил, что уйдет в отставку 19 мая. Тогда он говорил, что покинет свой пост, если в парламенте не будет большинства.  Позже он передумал и сказал, что не уйдет, поскольку правительство сможет функционировать. The Prime Minister first announced that he would resign on May 19. Then he said that he would leave his post if there would be no majority in parliament. He later changed his mind and said that he would not leave because the government would be able to function.
