The Democratic Party (PDM) applied to the court demanding to cancel the registration of the Pro Moldova party. Democrats say the party was formed “with serious violations of the law”. The party stated this in its press release. The Democrats also signed an appeal to the Public Services Agency, demanding to cancel the registration of the Pro Moldova group as a political party. DPM claims that Pro Moldova was registered as a political party in violation of the current legislation. At the same time, the relevant permission granted to the applicant was not granted in accordance with the conditions established by the Government, enabling the use of the official name of the state in the name of the legal entity, namely “Moldova”, as a prerequisite stipulated by law. DPM claims that the list of members of a political party, with at least four thousand people, was not submitted which does not meet the condition that its members reside in at least half of the second-level administrative-territorial units in the Republic of Moldova. Recall, on the morning of July 27, Pro Moldova leader Andrian Candu spoke about the “significant efforts of the DPM” to cancel the registration of the party he leads.
