The fear of Maia Sandu’s victory in the presidential elections rallied Igor Dodon, Vladimir Plahotniuc, Ilan Sor and Vladimir Filat around a common goal. This was stated by Watchdog expert Valeriu Pasa on the air of the program on Jurnal TV, jurnal.md reports. The expert argues that if Maia Sandu wins the presidential elections, then all four may have big problems with justice, and their common interest is to prevent the PAS chairman from becoming president. “I believe all indications are that Igor Dodon and Vladimir Plahotniuc have agreed on these elections, having Ilan Sor and, obviously, Vlad Filat as accomplices. They have united in the face of an enemy that is dangerous to all of them. This is Maia Sandu, as a potential president, with a very high internal and external legitimacy, which in theory could, at least in the medium term, achieve results in the reform of justice. This would hit all major corrupt people, especially Plahotniuc, wherever he could be hiding,” Pasa said. He also accused Igor Dodon of unwillingness to extradite Vladimir Plahotniuc and of the fact that he does not rule out the possibility that they had an agreement under which the oligarch would leave Turkey. Earlier it was reported that Vladimir Plahotniuc left the United States and was in Turkey since September 10. During that period, several Moldovan politicians visited this country, including Vladimir Andronachi, Andrian Candu, Vladimir Cebotari and Vlad Filat.
